What is TEDx? In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxJacksonville, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxJacksonville event, TED Talks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.

Event Planner
Amanda loves nothing more than the opportunity to celebrate the people she loves – that is why she went to school for hospitality business after all. She works as a Talent Specialist for Xanterra Travel Collection where she hires people to work in America’s National Park System and has a huge passion for outdoor accessibility. Outside of work, she is a part of Christian Surfers, Neptune Beach Run Club, and never misses a chance to go surfing, teach yoga, or see the sunrise in front of her house in JAX Beach. She previously worked in private clubs across America and does not know a stranger, so brings her event planner expertise and love for shining light on people’s stories to the TEDxJacksonville Team.
