What is TEDx?
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxJacksonville, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxJacksonville event, TED Talks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
What does the future hold for you, for me, for us? In 2017, TED will balance a hard look at the seismic shifts that are altering the way the world works with insights into how we can foster personal learning, growth and empowerment. The result: You’ll leave inspired and prepared for the change that’s ahead.
Please join us at Sun-Ray Cinema on Thursday, April 27th, for a simulcast of the TED2017 Conference “The Future You” in Vancouver.
It’s a chance to explore the most pressing questions of our time and to imagine what our shared future might look like. From how we’ll work to how we’ll connect and interact to how we’ll collectively thrive in a world full of change, we’ll ask—and try to answer—the big questions of the moment.
We will be showing a selected session from the conference during our simulcast at Sun-Ray Cinema. Admission is $12.50 per person and includes a voucher redeemable for $12.50 in delicious food and/or beverage purchases from the theater’s menu.
* We highly recommend registering and arriving early. Unclaimed reservations will be given to walk-up guests in order to fill the theater before the session begins. Register and arrive early to check-in, grab food and secure your seat.
