Andrew Hilger | Future-of-Work Navigator

Artificial intelligence isn’t just automating tasks—it’s redefining our relationship with work. As AI accelerates, nearly every role will transform, and entirely new jobs will emerge that we can’t yet imagine. Andrew Hilger, former president of a $15 billion global staffing and services firm, has a front-row-seat perspective on employability and the future of work. His message: In a world where stable career ladders are disappearing, success belongs to those who learn to adapt, pivot, and ride the waves of change. With sharp insights drawn from decades of leadership and a passion for preparing the next generation, Hilger will challenge us to stop clinging to outdated career roadmaps and instead embrace curiosity, agility, and lifelong learning as the true drivers of success.Back to TEDxJacksonville Conference Page

Andrew Hilger

Andrew Hilger recently capped a 25-year career as president of Allegis Group,, North America’s largest recruiting company, where he oversaw an organization helping more than 10,000 people start new jobs every week. From English major to global executive, Hilger’s own career path defied convention, teaching him that adaptability—not rigid planning—is the real engine of growth. Today, he shares those lessons as a guest lecturer at Duke University, as a thought leader through his leadership blog on LinkedIn, and as a strategic advisor to companies looking to transform. He has also co-created a master’s-level course module, “Business as a Force for Good,” now taught at Duke, St. Gallen’s University, and the University of Oregon. A father of three young adults navigating the very challenges he describes, Hilger brings both professional insight and personal authenticity to the conversation about thriving in the AI age.
