TEDGlobal Simulcast at SunRay Cinema, June 13th

We’re excited that so many of you (330 in fact!) will be joining us this Thursday for TEDxJacksonvilleLive, a simulcast of TEDGlobal 2013. The event will be held at the SunRay Cinema in Five Points, and the doors will open at 6 pm. The simulcast will run from 6:30 pm until 9 pm.  Beverages and snacks will be available for purchase from the fine folks at SunRay.

We will be simulcasting Session 6: World on Its Head. Guest curated by Nassim Assefi and Gabriella Gómez-Mont — both from the inaugural class of TEDGlobal 2009 Fellows — the session will be a chance to turn our conceptions of the Middle East and Latin America upside down, and to rethink staid assumptions about politics, religion, art, architecture, peacemaking and more.  You can learn more from Assefi and Gomez-Mont about what inspired the session and how they went about selecting speakers by reading their question-and-answer session on the TED blog.

Do note that the event is sold out, so we will be unable to accomodate individuals hoping to register at the door. Get live speaker-by-speaker updates on the the TED Blog, and follow the live tweet stream @TEDGlobal.
